Peter Van Rompaey has more than twenty years of experience in the field of traditional music and world music, as journalist, concert and music school promoter, label director, financial manager, festival curator, copy writer… He has a long record of working with new migrant artists from all over the world, as talent detector and promoter but also as journalist. Since 2002 has been working as the founder and general director of Muziekpublique.
Peter Van Rompaey has been the curator of the Brosella Folk and Jazz Festival from 2012-2014, since 2017 he is member of the Brosella board of administrators. As director of Muziekpublique, he has built up a large national and international network in the domain of traditional and world music.
In 2013 he has co-founded the World Music Network Belgium, uniting and defending world music professionals in Belgium.
